1. Welcome and Acceptance of Terms

Thank you for choosing ClickFox! By accessing and using the ClickFox Chrome extension ("Service", "we", "our", or "us"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by these terms, please do not use this service.

Service Purpose and Your Responsibility

ClickFox is designed to help you download freely distributed, publicly available content from the internet directly to your personal Dropbox account. We've built ClickFox with your privacy and security in mind, but it's important to understand that:

You are responsible for ensuring that all content you download is legally available for download and distribution
You should verify that you have the right to download and store the content you request
You must comply with all applicable copyright laws, intellectual property rights, and terms of service of content sources
You are responsible for all content stored in your Dropbox account, including its legality and appropriateness

Please remember: ClickFox is a technical tool that transfers files at your request. We don't monitor, filter, or control what you download. The choice of what to download and store is entirely yours, and you bear full legal responsibility for your actions.

2. What ClickFox Does

ClickFox is a Chrome browser extension that enables you to download files from publicly accessible URLs directly to your personal Dropbox cloud storage account. The Service uses a streaming architecture that transfers files directly from source URLs to your Dropbox account without intermediate storage or content analysis.

How We Handle Your Files

ClickFox operates using a direct streaming architecture designed to protect your privacy:

Direct Transfer: Files are streamed directly from the source URL to your Dropbox account. Files never pass through our storage systems.
No Content Analysis: We do not read, analyze, scan, inspect, or examine the contents of any files you download. Files are transferred as binary streams without any content examination.
No Storage: Files are never written to disk, cached, buffered, or stored on our servers in any form. Only metadata (file name, size, URL, transfer status) is stored for service operation.
In-Memory Processing: Our backend uses streaming pipelines that process files in memory chunks, ensuring data flows directly from source to Dropbox without persistent storage.

This means we can't see, access, or analyze what you're downloading - your privacy is protected by design.

3. Using ClickFox Responsibly

3.1 Lawful Use Only

We want ClickFox to be used for good! You agree to use ClickFox only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. Please do NOT use the Service to:

Download, transfer, or store any content that violates copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other intellectual property rights
Download, transfer, or store any illegal content, including but not limited to pirated software, copyrighted material without authorization, or content that violates applicable laws
Download, transfer, or store any content that is harmful, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation
Infringe upon the rights of any third party, including privacy rights and intellectual property rights
Use the Service in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our servers or networks

3.2 Your Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for all content you download and store using ClickFox. This means you represent and warrant that:

You have the legal right to download and store all content you request through the Service
All content you download is freely distributed and publicly available
You will not use the Service to download copyrighted material without proper authorization
You will comply with all terms of service and usage policies of content sources
You will not hold ClickFox liable for any content you choose to download or store

Think of ClickFox like a delivery service - we help you move files, but you're responsible for what you're moving!

3.3 Keeping Your Account Secure

4. Intellectual Property Rights

Use Dropbox in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations
Not use Dropbox to store illegal, copyrighted, or otherwise prohibited content

6. Service Availability

We work hard to keep ClickFox running smoothly, but we reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time with or without notice. We'll do our best to keep you informed of any significant changes.

While we strive for reliability, we cannot guarantee that the Service will be available at all times or that it will be free from errors, viruses, or other harmful components. You use the Service at your own risk.

7. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

ClickFox does not warrant that:

The Service will meet your requirements or expectations
The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
Any files downloaded will be complete, accurate, or free from defects
Defects in the Service will be corrected

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL CLICKFOX, ITS AFFILIATES, OR THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

Your use or inability to use the Service
Any content downloaded, transferred, or stored through the Service
Unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data
Statements or conduct of any third party on the Service
Any other matter relating to the Service

IN NO EVENT SHALL CLICKFOX'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL DAMAGES EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO CLICKFOX IN THE PAST TWELVE MONTHS, OR $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Please remember: ClickFox is a technical transfer service. We don't control, monitor, or review the content you choose to download. Any liability arising from the content you download or store is solely your responsibility.

8. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ClickFox, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including without limitation reasonable legal and accounting fees, arising out of or in any way connected with:

Your access to or use of the Service
Your violation of these Terms of Service
Your violation of any third-party right, including without limitation any intellectual property right, privacy right, or other proprietary right
Any content you download, transfer, or store using the Service
Your violation of any applicable law, rule, or regulation

9. Termination

We hope you'll continue using ClickFox, but we may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms of Service.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. If you wish to terminate your account, you may simply discontinue using the Service or log out from the extension, which will remove locally stored authentication data.

All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

10. Your Content and Our Access

We Don't Store or Access Your Files

ClickFox is designed so we cannot store, access, or control the content you download:

No Storage: Files are never stored on our servers. They are streamed directly from source URLs to your Dropbox account.
No Access: We do not have access to, read, or analyze the contents of files you download.
No Control: We do not control, filter, or monitor what you download. The choice is entirely yours.
Metadata Only: We store only metadata (file name, size, URL, transfer status) necessary for service operation.

All content you download becomes part of your Dropbox account and is subject to Dropbox's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. ClickFox has no ownership, control, or responsibility over content stored in your Dropbox account.

11. Prohibited Content

To keep ClickFox safe and legal for everyone, you agree NOT to use ClickFox to download, transfer, or store any of the following:

Copyrighted Material: Content protected by copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights without proper authorization
Illegal Content: Any content that violates applicable laws, including but not limited to pirated software, illegal media, or prohibited materials
Harmful Content: Malware, viruses, trojans, or any other malicious software
Prohibited Material: Content that violates Dropbox's Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy
Restricted Content: Content that you do not have the legal right to download or distribute

Violation of this section may result in immediate termination of your access to the Service and may subject you to legal liability.

12. Third-Party Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by ClickFox. ClickFox has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.

You acknowledge and agree that ClickFox shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any such content, goods, or services available on or through any such websites or services.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. If we make material changes, we will try to provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect.

What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our Service after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you are no longer authorized to use the Service.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the United States.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms of Service is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us regarding our Service, and supersede and replace any prior agreements we might have between us regarding the Service.

16. Age Restrictions

ClickFox is not intended for users under the age of 13. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years of age. If you are under 18, you represent that you have obtained parental or guardian consent to use the Service.

You are solely responsible for all content stored in your Dropbox account
ClickFox is designed for downloading freely distributed, publicly available content only
You will not use the Service to download copyrighted material without authorization or any illegal content
Any legal liability arising from content you download or store is solely your responsibility
